Winner of the 2014 Victorian Premier Sustainability Award for regional recognition and the 2014 Banksia award for product design across manufacture, use and disposal. The work has been incremental and started with the development a life cycle based carbon footprint of their Eco Buy listed road stabilisation product to identify the exact savings in carbon emissions, water usage and financial savings using a new approach to road maintenance. The findings from the study support a transparent approach to decision making and clearly identified savings. The project continued to supply-chain engagement and a full sustainability approach to how the business interacts with suppliers, partners and clients.
An important part of the engagement is to write and present conference papers to the industry and to communicate the findings and results very openly.
